Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School offers a diverse range of extra-curricular activities for the students of the school.
- As part of our sustainability program at the school we actively encourage all students and staff to be involved in the Gardening Club. It runs on a Tuesday fortnightly basis after school and is held in the Garden Centre.
- In Term 1 the school offers swimming training twice a week in preparation for the Swimming Carnival. This is open to students from Year 3 – 6 who are at an appropriate swimming level, and competent in the 50m pool. It is held before school at the local swimming pool.
- Year 4, 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to dance in the Liturgical Dance and Primary Dance sections of the Catholic Performing Arts Festival in Term 3. Lunch time practices at the school are held for students of all abilities in preparation for this exciting event.
- Year 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to audition for the school band which plays at all school Masses, special event assemblies, whole school music, busking and local events including the Catholic Performing Arts and the Rockingham Fair. They meet before school on Wednesdays and Thursdays which gives them an opportunity to play with and for the school choir. They also compose their own songs.
- We have an outstanding choir of over 60 Year 4 – 6 students who are enthusiastic, dedicated and talented. They meet before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and lead the students in all school Masses. The choir participate in the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival, One Big Voice and the Rockingham Fair.
